FESTIVAL DEDICATED TO CONTEMPORARY PERFORMANCE LANGUAGES
Fifth edition “light and shadow”
THE FESTIVAL
The Festival was born in 2014, the initial incentive is to improve the conditions of contemporary dance in Lombardy, a subject that CRT director Franco Laera supports straight away with an excellent collaborative spirit.
In 2017 a collaboration is started with Sala Fontana Theater directed by Rossella Lepore.
This collaboration establishes a new born reality dedicated to contemporary performing languages, a festival that does not have the purpose of selection, but wants to become an opportunity for sharing, for companies, artists and the audience. The festival aims at looking for “the specific soul” of the world of contemporary performative art in its tendency of discovery, renewal and innovation.
NEW PARTNERS
The fifth edition sees the arrival of the new partner Perypezye Urbane and turns the festival into a national festival attentive to young people and to the innovation in the processes of creation; it will be the expression of two important activities for contemporary dance of our area: the project of the INCUBATOR FOR FUTURE CHOREOGRAPHERS of CIMD and the App DanceMe (link) of Perypezye Urbane, digital innovation that this year will produce six under35 choreographers.
The festival wants to give to Milan the image of a city in which performing arts and shows are able to face cultural changes. The festival will propose fourteen performances by young successful authors and the first studies that emerging choreographers produced into the incubator with Davide Valrosso as coordinator and tutor.
